Well I had to bag the Susitna 100 this year. This is a 100 mile race where you choose to bike, ski, or run. The little bit of tendinitis I got in my left wrist from the ski out to Tolovona Hot Springs on the 50 mile trail was still bugging me. I figured it was best to scratch the race because I didnt want to permanently damage my wrist by skiing for 15+ hours. I went down to the race anyway to cheer on John and visit friends in Anchorage.
John gets his gear together
9 AM- They are off!
4:11 AM - John at the finish line after 19 hours and 11 minutes on the race trail
There was a great view of Denali on the drive home from Anchorage
